Kamahi Holiday House

Friendly staff. Nice warm and dry place!! We had a nice stay there.

Kamahi Holiday House

This was a nice, quiet location but within easy walking distance of the village centre. Best thing was the very helpful staff who gave very good advice on the local activities that were available.

Kamahi Holiday House

The setting is really a rainforest retreat - everything is surrounded by dense bush. The house is accessible either from Kamahi Cres with parking right in front, or from Rainforest Retreat via a short walkway, which is handy to walk into Franz Josef village. The two extra bedrooms have access from the sheltered clean verandah, so no shoes needed to go between rooms. Lots of hot water pressure and an easy to heat house would make this pleasant even in winter (we were there in spring).

I had no idea that it is so beautiful place until I see the place.

Kamahi Holiday House

Had a very enjoyable stay. Kamahi House is comfortable and well equipped. The setting is peaceful and relaxing.

Kamahi Holiday House

We were a large group of 10 who stayed in the Gecko House. The facilities were spacious, brand new, immaculate and well stocked. The rain forest location was absolutely stunning and provided a genuine West Coast rain forest experience. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Rainforest Retreat and the only regret we had was not getting a chance to spend time at the onsite bar/restarurant. Would highly recommend Gecko House to anyone heading to the West Coast.
