...nestled high on the banks of the Omaha River, just 50 minutes north of Auckland, Omaha River Retreat provides Guests with a panoramic view over the estuarine ebb and flow of the river and beyond to the outer gulf. Set on 18 Private acres, with a Native forest, the property is a haven for many N.Z. birds. Guests are free to explore the property, and a short walk down a private road takes you to the waters edge where canoes and a dinghy are available for your use. Explore the river or just sit under the Kauri trees and enjoy the changes of nature that is the essence of the unique atmosphere of Omaha River Retreat.

The perfect small wedding venue. Family Reunions, Couples Retreat, Girls or Boys weekends, Anniversary, Birthdays............
It is the perfect place to get away to and unwind.

Note that Jillian, your host, lives 50 meters away, in a separate dwelling.

Guests have the option of renting the self - contained flat, ideal for one couple: $130/ night ( plus 2 children on futon couch)
OR occupying the house whole house; minimum of 4 Adults for $250 per night and $50 per night for each extra adult. (8 people).

Linen - Sheets and towels is an Optional Extra $10 per person.

You are welcome to invite friends to visit for a short stay of 1-2 hours, but if it is your intention to have a party, there is a $10 per person visitor fee. Prior notification is expected.

Just a short 5 minute drive to the popular country town of Matakana, with a Farmer's Market, modern cinemas, cafe's, shops. 10 minutes to beauitful Omaha beach and Goat Is Marine Reserve. Many vineyards and cafe's to explore.

Service level

Linen: Linen can be supplied. Additional charge of $10.00 per person applies.

Cleaning: Visitors to clean-up and leave the property as found.

Smoking allowed outside only.
Pets allowed with prior approval.

Towels and Linen ( beds made) supplied at an optional extra cost of $10 per person. (one off charge)

Cleaning:
