Pop down to the boat shed, jump in a kayak and go exploring. Why not drop in a line and go trawling while you are at it. Home for a BBQ Breaky (rainbow trout?) on the deck overlooking the lake.

What about a round of golf at Hamurana Springs (6km) or picturesque Hinehopu (12km), or maybe you would prefer your adrenalin rush at OKere Falls with a spot of white water rafting.

And if you brought your boat what about a bit of water skiing or a sail or a paddle around to the hot pools for a real bit of R'n'R.

Okere Falls has its very own Dairy/Bakery/Winery/Bar for stocking up, however if you have a strange desire to go to Rotorua (20 mins) or The Mount (40 mins) you may need to see your doctor first.

  •  Nice place, location is ideal and kayaks are so much fun! 

  •  We have had a wonderful holiday here, the kids said it was awesome! We all enjoyed getting out on the lake in the kyaks. The bach is very comfortable with lovely views. A handy shop nearby, and a short-ish drive to Rotorua for the tourist stuff. We couldn't have asked for more. Next time we come we will lose the kids and just hang out at the bach enjoying the lovely location :) 

  •  Great location with a lovely vista, in need of a little TLC but the setting is superb and having use of the jetty was great. Would recommend for a time out the owners are very approachable and make for a hassle free stay
