Affordable in a great location. Our fun wee pad is well situated, opposite the surf club reserve -- just a 100m walk across the park to the beach! It's a lovely walk along the beach to town, just 400m to the local store for food and wine or pop over to Blackies Cafe in the park during the summer. Popular with young families, our front courtyard is private, fully fenced and toddler safe. For those who want to be connected, there's FREE Wi-Fi and a phone for local calls.
Inside you'll find a modern and tidy fit-out. The kitchen is well setup with gas hob, fan-oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee-maker. You'll probably enjoy the limitless hot showers from the gas mains-pressure hot water system. There's also a 37" TV (which can play avi/mp4 movies from USB) and a wall mounted stereo, just plug in your iPod.
Outdoor living in our private courtyard has ground level decking and bbq facilities. Let the kids climb our grass embankment up to the "throne" to enjoy the view. Around the back is an additional hot outdoor shower for washing sand off after a day's fun in the surf or on the beach.
New for 2012 is a heat pump to keep winters dry and warm.
The beachhouse is small, fitting 6 at a squeeze, but more ideal for 2 couples or a small family. In the bunk-room we have 2 single bunks over a queen bed, and in the main bedroom there's a queen bed. There's also a foldout sofa in the living area. All beds have duvets and pillows, if you're in a pinch there's a few sheets on the shelves, but we ask you bring your own sheets. We also have a washing machine for your convenience. There is off-street parking for one large vehicle around the back and a second small vehicle along the side. There's plenty on-street parking across the road. Whangamata is a safe and friendly town.

The property has been modernised inside and has a nice bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. The tv and sound system were good to have too. The location is right over the road from the reserve and beach, the surf club is right over the road. Really good spot!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Cool wee pad, great location and awesome to have our fur baby with us with the added bonus of having a secure courtyard. A new mattress wouldn't go astray, but other than that very happy with everything and would go back in a heart beat. Cheers! :-)
