This is a lovely place to stay. It was great for us, being in a quiet spot with not a lot of traffic and nicely off the road. Two bathrooms makes a huge difference when you have a large group and the drying room was a godsend after a rainy event day on day 1. Great features, lots of space and quiet neighbors so a good nights sleep had by all. Highly recommend!
Jeneene, Duncan, Ayla (12), Zeke (9), Finn (7), Lainee (7) and Elissa (5) all thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rugen Lodge. We all liked seeing Turoa in the morning from the Lodge. It's a warm house with plenty of room for everyone. It's close to the mountain, and handy to town. It was perfect for us.
Very cosy family holiday especially with the fire going, we had a great holiday. The manager of the lodge was very nice and easy to deal with. We would highly recommend this place to others
Rugen lodge is warm, comfortable and equipped with all that you need for a great skiing holiday. Loved waking up to the view of the mountain. Drying room is fantastic! Kids loved having a dishwasher too!
Was a fantastic, homely stay at the mountain. Stoked with firewood and heaps of decent sized pots and pans that made cooking for a group a breeze. Owner was very happy to help as well.
An absolute ideal place for 2 families to comfortably stay in. Lois was great and very easy to deal with and got things sorted straight away. All the beds were very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rugen Lodge! If we are ever back in Ohakune we will stay here again ..
Convenient and quiet location, easy walk or cycle to town and local attractions. Warm home with log fire giving great atmosphere. Enjoyed the view to snow covered mountain.
We recommend Rugen Lodge to others looking for a comfortable warm place to stay in Ohakune. The owners were excellent to deal with and we would very happily stay again. Also having Sky was a real bonus with the World Club and Warriers games.
Lovely place to stay. Situated 5 mins walk from town and handy to all amenities. Very tidy bach,kept in immaculate condition. Would definitely return to stay in the future.

We loved our stay at the Rugen Lodge! Would reccomend it to any one! Very close to local shops- supermarket, ski/snow board hire, bakery, cafes, pharmacy. We felt very comfortable there!
Rugen Lodge was lovely, warm with everything we needed. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of wood for the fire, and the kitchen was great. This lodge was homely and made a great base for our holiday.

WE ALL LOVED OUR STAY... THE FIRE WARMED THE WHOLE HOUSE..iT WAS ROOMY AND COMFORTABLE AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
