Aroha Cottage is bright, colourful and filled with art. It is particularly suited for couples and families with young children..There is a large outdoor living area, perfect for enjoying all the sunshine the Nelson region is famous for. The grounds are flat with plenty of trees to provide shade.
The cottage is only 50 meters from Kina Beach, start the day down at the beach watching the sunrise over Nelson.
Situated halfway between Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, Kina Beach is a quiet seaside community yet shops and cafes are only minutes away.
Motueka township is 10 minutes drive with 2 large supermarkets and all the other facilities you could possibly need. Mapua is only 10 minutes in the other direction with Boutique Breweries, Art and Craft shops and Restaurants overlooking the harbour. We also have our local Tasman store for basic supplies.
Perfectly positioned for visiting both Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, famous for its great walks and stunning scenery. Kayaking and walking is the popular way to see the park, but for the slightly less energetic, take a boat trip instead.
The Nelson Lakes and Golden Bay are both an easy day trip and the Nelson market, held every Saturday morning, is well worth a visit for New Zealand made arts and crafts and fresh local produce.
The challenging Tasman Golf Club, 1km past the gate, welcomes visitors. Not a golfer..... its worth the walk or drive, for the stunning views over Tasman bay and the bar might be open!
With safe swimming, boating, and fishing, plus award winning local vineyards and cafes, Kina Beach really is the perfect holiday location.
Kina Beach is only a 25minute drive from Nelson airport.

A delightful setting, quiet, close to the beach and so handy to everything in Tasman Bay. Note to self: Bring golf clubs next time- Tasman "Kina Cliffs" course is a gem.

We loved the cottage! VERY clean and well presented, with a beautiful garden. It was a cold day but the fire was all set up to be lit which made for a cosy night.the bed was really comfy and although the weather was horrendous outside we felt well looked after and our hosts called to make sure we were OK. We will definitely be back and look forward to next time :o)
