Was a very cute, well appointed little cottage. I especially loved the deck and all the fruit trees!
Neat and clean; toasty fire; kitchen and bathroom were lovely and the beds really comfy. Picked fresh fruit from the beautiful garden for our breakfast. Two minutes to the beach and a short drive to some interesting shops and pubs at Mapua. Highly recommended - we'll be back!
Kina beach is lovely and the view from the golf club is fantastic. It is a great location too, close to Motueka and Moutere.
A lovely batch - clean and well appointed. We spent a lot of time on the amazing deck under the fig tree!
Loved the bedroom and bed. Kitchen is good. The deck is great.
We were delighted with this property which was unusual and colourful. It had lovely shaded outside decks and a beautiful garden with fruit trees. It was an ideal away-from-it-all place to stay and was extremely comfortable. It was also very convenient for visiting the Abel Tasman and Nelson areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A lovely well equipped cottage with a good kitchen & very nice main bedroom. We would have liked comfy chairs. Fortunately we did not need the upstairs bedroom with very steep stairs and got extremely hot. Lovely outside sitting & eating areas. Perfect location for exploring the area and covenient for the golf club. Lou was a very kind & helpful host
A true Kiwi Bach, very clean and well presented. Kitchen well equipped. Lovely garden setting with excellent outdoor seating options.Very comfortable queen bed. I know by your comment lounge seating has been an issue and what you have done is fresh and quirky but I have to say not having a comfortable lounge type chair was a problem for my husband. May I suggest the bedroom is large enough to accommodate one and after his beach walk he could have relaxed and read his book in there.
Your suggestion regarding a comfy chair is a great idea, I will keep a look out for something suitable. Thanks
We had fantastic time at Aroha Cottage. Vey nice location, beautiful garden, very tidy bach. Hope to be back in the future.
The cottage was very comfortable, private and peaceful. It was only a few minutes from Mapua and a short trip into Abel Tasman.
Lovely quirky house set in a beautiful garden. We loved our time just sitting on the deck in what can be best described as a mini paradise. There's a long stony beach only one minute walk away and other amenities within a short drive. The accommodation was ideally suited for day drives to Abel Tasman Park, Golden Beach, several wineries and within easy reach of Nelson. The only shortcoming was lack of internet at the house, a minor inconvenience.
Cool little cottage, great location, It was truly a home away from home. We stay at holiday houses (batches) all over Australia and one thing that annoys me is blunt knives, as I like to cook, so I bought a knife sharpener but didn't need it. Kitchen was well equipped. We'll be back.
A great location for a 'get away' weekend or longer! We'll presented, very clean and tidy. The garden was immaculate and a credit to Lou and Jonny.
A pretty little cottage with a lovely interior and exterior allowing for a restful break away. Minutes from the beach and entertainment at Mot or Mapua. Only minutes from Nelson....and we would encourage the local crowd to skip their usual routines for a lovely retreat close to home!
Great relaxing location, house and garden. Nice big deck. Easy drive to the Abel Tasman area.
My husband and I had a brief opportunity to spend 1 night and 2 days at the idyllic aroha cottage. I was particularly impressed by the high level of cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. We had planned to spend the evening out for dinner, however after arriving at the cottage we decided to stay in and make the most of the beautiful environment and enjoyed dinner on the sunny deck. This property exudes positive energy and serves as a wonderful retreat for a romantic weekend getaway. 10+
Location very quiet with excellent access to beach only 50 metres away and easy access to both Nelson and Abel Tasman National Park; bed particularly comfortable and nice garden.
Lovely, idyllic spot. Beautiful garden.
Loved the bach and the location. You could walk down to Kina beach or even further at low tide. I wish I had taken the bike as it is easy to get around.Enjoyed the lovely garden and the new lounge-kitchen area. The bed was bliss and everything was on hand. Found out a few things about the area from the locals, especially the short cut to the general store.
Aroha Cottage at Kina Beach is a beautiful quirky holiday home to stay in, it has everything you need and the garden setting is really pretty. We had a lovely relaxing week there and would certainly recommend it to others.
Aroha Cottage is a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and full of lots of useful things. We had our 8 month old baby with us and they provided a high chair and portacot which was so handy. It's a great location for exploring the area. Thank you!
Ideal location for us to explore the Nelson region. Our week long stay was delightful. An excellent mix of relaxation and activities. Aroha cottage is a charming, cosy place to stay with great amenities. The setting, in beautiful gardens is quiet, sunny (for our stay) and private. Thank you, Lou and Johnny.
Small but perfectly formed, a wonderful romantic spot. Warm & cosy, close to beach walks & cafes. Great base to explore Mapua & Tasman from. Beautiful décor, clean & well presented. The fire was even laid ready to light when we arrived. Thanks for a great experience.
