Ground floor, spacious, luxurious apartment in a Coromandel artist's locally celebrated landmark property - own courtyard garden, beautiful shared garden, and masses of parking for cars and boats. Designer decor with quality furnishings in comfortable Tuscan style. Very fully equipped - all linen supplied.
On Colville Road, just 13 km north of Coromandel town. Coastal position to enjoy sea and beaches with great sea views from gardens and lookout. Easy but discrete track (3 min walk) through lush native forest reserve to reach very secluded swimming, picnicking and sunbathing beach.
You will often hear kiwis at night in the adjacent bush reserve, and you can join the generations of families who have photographed their children on the historic "Big Tomato" (visit him on his own new Facebook page "The Big Tomato PapaAroha")
This is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. Enjoy good fishing and swimming, local bush and river walks. Only a few minutes’ drive to Driving Creek Railway and other fascinating local tourist attractions. Plenty of room for boats and cars - this is your perfect basecamp for Kings of the Coromandel fishing competition, and for cycle and kayak teams or film crews.
This is also a perfect base from which to enjoy the Great Coromandel Arts Trail. With glass, ceramic, jewellery, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, carving, textile and fibre art, woodworking there really is something for everyone!
Visiting in autumn is a separate treat. More settled weather than summer, mirror-like sea, magic sunsets, collect blackberries for your breakfast porridge or cereal. No traffic. And your almost private beach becomes your pretty much absolutely private beach.

 Great location with good hosts.

Nice and quiet, beautiful beach very private

The facilities were very good - Nice and tidy. - Beds comfortable. - Kitchen well equipped and use of Barbeque. - Toilet and Bathroom very good. The garden views were wonderful,so we had our dinners out there. The beach was only minutes away and we had the beach to ourselves the majority of the time. We enjoyed swimming and walks along the beach.
