Te Makiri Cottage is a cosy, private, 2 storeyed, 2 bed roomed holiday getaway, nestled in the vineyard belt of Onetangi,surrounded by Pungas and native trees with views of Obsidian and Miro vineyards. Priced for up to 4 adults, the cottage can comfortably sleep 2 couples or a family of 5.
Te Makiri Cottage is only 15 mins walk to beautiful Onetangi Beach, which is known for it's sandy white beaches and popular cafes, featuring live entertainment and delicious food.
We have a special pathway into Miro Vineyard featuring the popular tapas restaurant; 'Casita Miro' serving lunch and dinners with bookings. Miro produces delicious Bordeaux wines.
Te Makiri Cottage is newly renovated, Mediterranean style, with solid plastered walls and terracotta tiled floors. It has 2 bathrooms and a fully modern kitchen. The living room is hooked up to Sky TV and has a small DVD and reading library available. . The cosy, romantic upstairs bedroom has a ladder with handrails access.The downstairs bedroom opens out onto the deck with French doors. Both bedrooms have heating. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa bed.
Whilst featuring a simple old world charm, Te Makiri Cottage is WI FI /Broadband equipped.
On the patio our guests can sip wine and listen to the Tuis and other native birds which live around the vineyard pond area.
We offer a complimentary healthy breakfast with home-made muesli, made from organic rolled oats, delicious bread and freshly ground Waiheke roasted coffee
There is off street parking and room for a trailer boat (dinghy available). Fullers' Bus route is close by, connecting visitors with shops, cafes, banks, Waiheke Art Gallery, cinema etc.

Warm, cosy, character bach in a great location. Everything as described, breakfast provided was much appreciated. Beds really comfortable. Would be happy to stay again if we are on the island again.

Loved the outdoor bath! Had everything we needed for a nice holiday. Lovely walks with the dogs in the vineyards right next door. Comfortable bed, peaceful and quiet.
