[ALREADY BOOKED FOR MARDI GRAS, 28 JUNE] A beautiful lakeside setting for your next holiday. This comfortable, well-appointed chalet is situated at the Junction end of Ohakune - 5 minutes walk to restaurants and bars, and 20 minutes drive to the Turoa Ski Field. Ohakune is also a great base for exploring all the other attractions of the region.
The open-plan kitchen/living room is at the heart of the house - with all-day sun, and a wood-burner to keep you cozy through the night - all wood supplied. A large double window seat with lake-views is a great place to play a board game, or curl up and read a book. Upstairs there's a t.v in the kids' bedroom and a large mezzanine area to spread toys and games. There's also a canoe stored under the house which you're welcome to take out on the lake. Each floor has a shower & toilet, and there's a large drying/storage room for ski gear on the ground floor. Double-glazed windows throughout. Table seats 10 with extra chairs available. NB house may not be suitable for toddlers as no stair guard, or fire guard.

We stayed here for 3 nights during the off season to go to a friends wedding. We were in love with the place as soon as we got there. Great for a household of 6 adults and 4 kids with plenty of space, everything you'd ever need and a great outlook. The kids loved going out on the lake in the canoe and it was an easy walk to the Powderhorn (where the wedding was). Thanks Jenny

The house was fantastic, very comfortable and plenty of space for the 8 of us that stayed. Has everything you need. Would love to come back for longer. Really handy to the township and mountain access.
