Salisbury Cottage (Westport)
Charming self-contained heritage cottage – new kitchen and bathroom, new floor coverings. Romantic interior with high planked ceilings, and cottage fireplace, lovely old doors. Opens on to huge deck set in a lovely garden. Minutes from Westport CBD and beautiful North Beach. Across the road from Patterson Park Trotting Complex, sited in the shortest street in Westport surrounded by horse grazing. Walking tracks to beach and lagoon….north facing for sun, sun, sun all day long.
Kitchen: Brand new and fully equipped with full stove, extra large sink, rangehood, microwave, toaster, coffee plunger (French press) etc.
BBQ – Masport in carport
Bathroom: Brand new with huge bath, premium Futura Slide shower with Methven shower heads and mixers for gaspingly good pressure, endless hot water (gas), and 8kg washing machine. Heated bathroom.
Heating – brand new Panasonic heat pump.
Parking – large carport/driveway. Room for boat on grass outside.
Full payment a minimum of 10 days out required, prior to key pickup unless special arrangements are made with the owners.
Rates - special weekly rate of $495 year round (email for quotes for longerterm stays)
Cancellation Policy: 48 hours cancellation required or 25% of the booking will be forfeit. From time of booking and payment, a minimum charge of $20 will be invoked to cover admin, data entry and bank fees.

The cottage was more than adequate for our needs - with a new extremely well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The heating and shower was excellent. Clean linen & towels were provided. The house was warm, clean and tidy We were disappointed with the bedroom arrangments as there were no doors and hence no privacy. A single bedroom was attached to the queen bedroom. The oven upper element didn't work nor did the dryer. Bulb in single bedroom needed replacing. The front door lock was a nuisance.

We would have appreciated being phoned rather than 'reviewed' to be alerted to any things not working properly in the cottage - we leave our contact info for just that purpose. Anything not working is always fixed - our current tenants who were there before this guest and who have just come back, have no problems with any of these 'issues'. They say the drier works, the oven element referred to is a grill element which works but only on grill, and the front door is okay.

Great little cottage. We spent two nights at Salisbury Cottage with our two teenage daughters - the cottage had everything we needed and we found it very comfortable. Quiet location. Would be happy to stay again.
