Tuesday 6th of May 2009Special deals
While we've had last minute deals for a while, but with swine flu and unemployment on the rise we thought it a good idea to elevate "special deals" as a way to break through some emotional barriers to going away - especially over the winter months. This new feature includes:
- Last minute discounts; Multi-night stay discounts; Free gifts and giveaways
- Filter on search results shows only properties with deals.
- Deals on Performance listings will be promoted through Facebook and Twitter.

Today we launched our new Bachchat section with:
- Events from Eventfinder.co.nz
- New stories, guides and lifestyle sections
Wednesday 4th February 2009Manager text alerts and custom bach signs
Changes uploaded today:
- Rental Contacts can now choose to receive mobile phone text alerts (SMS) whenever a new booking request is made or a question asked. Texts will cost 20c each from 1st of April.
- Custom printed bach signs can now be ordered directly via the website.
Thursday 18th December 2008Completed Map View on listings page
All baches with maps defined now show up in Map View mode on the Find a bach page.
Tuesday 10th December 2008New masthead nav and aggregate availability display
Changes released today include:
- A re-design of the Bookabach masthead for improved AA cross-linking and service link navigation.
- A new Availability View in Find a Bach which shows aggregate availability across multiple properties
Wednesday 19th November 2008New rental bookings table and bed layout edit
Changes uploaded today include:
- A new My Bookabach > Rental > Rental Bookings page which includes both future and past booking information with ability to recover (future) declined/cancelled bookings
- Updated bed definition page with improved ease of use
Friday 3rd October 2008New Price-Availability functionality
Changes uploaded today include new Price-Availability functionality:
- New Edit Pricing section
- Addition of selling period to Rental Preferences (default 15 months)
- New Price-Availability display on listing
- Tweaks to calendar display and booking process
Thursday 14th August 2008 Two new product plans!
Today we launched the Performance and Family and Friends product plans. Other changes include:
- Bug fixes to javascript for backwards compatibility on older IE versions.
- New wizard functionality on registration and listing edit.
- Completeness meters added to listing edit.
- Double AA Rewards points for owners/managers spend on Performance Plan properties
- AA Rewards incentives for rental guests for Performance Plan listings
Monday 21st July 2008 Calendar re-design and new bach section
Today we've released extensive changes to the site. These include:
- Bookabach Calendar page re-design.
- New Bach section replaces the old Bach Circle section. This section includes bach address/map definition and family/friend membership. Bach location can now be pin-pointed using Google Maps and (optionally) displayed on rental listing.
- Weekly bach manager reports have been replaced with a "Weekly Alerts". If no alerts present no report is sent.
- Future Bookings display now includes non-Bookabach bookings (other rental)
- Questions can now be converted to Booking Requests.
- AA Rewards points now provided on bach owner/manager spend ($20 = 1 point)
- ...and this new Website announcements page!
