“Decided this year to have Christmas at the beach and it was fantastic .It felt like we were at home apart from the sea being at the front door.The weather was fine the whole time , no need to pack everything for a day on the beach just swim and walk back to the house for a hot shower. Surfcasting morning and night it doesn't get much better.

“Fantastically positioned beach house. Couldn't get any closer to the beach. The beach house itself is well setup with all facilities covered, including Sky TV which was a bonus for our children. The local Frog Pool Farm was also an excellent experience for our children, with a playground, egg collecting, frogs, and piglets - the coffee and cakes are good too. Must recommend the Brinjal Chutney. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - very relaxing.”

“The teenagers loved the cleanliness, the fresh newness, the sky tv, and we all love the proximity to the beach, the views of the surf from lounge/kitchen & bedroom windows. Sun morning/noon & evening out on the deck. Recommend walks along beach to estaury to watch boats crossing the bar & day trip 2 Whakatane.”

“Proerty was immaculate,comfortable well equiped.Great location right on beach but still private.Beach was only a short walk and enjoyed both the wonderfull sea view and the sound of the waves.

Excellent walking round the estuary on the other side with an attractive spect.

Pukahina centrally located between the Mount and Whakatane only a short pleasdant drive to each.

Would highly recommend this spot to families as there is plenty to do from the beach to the estuary. Long walks on the beach or just hanging out on the deck. We will be back! " were playing a local gig on a nearby farm so this was a perfect base for us to come back to rather than having to drive back to Rotorua. We enjoyed just relaxing and enjoying the great Ocean view both Sturday afternoon and Sunday morning. We'll be back.”
