Time Flies is a comfortable, refurbished holiday home in Pukawa Bay, a stunning lakeside village. Houses are dotted amongst the native bush to minimise the impact on native plants and wildlife so ensuring the sound of Bellbirds and Tui’s throughout the day. Whether you are looking for a romantic hideaway, or a base for exploring the outdoors, you will love this private tranquil setting. With north facing 180 degree views over Lake Taupo, framed by expansive bi-fold doors in the lounge and master bedroom, you won’t be able to escape the feeling of being away from it all.
Safe beaches, a boat ramp and wonderful walking tracks in the bush and along the lake are on your doorstep. You can even walk to Omori, the next bay, for milk or other essentials. 5mins to Tokaanu Hot Pools. You can hire ski gear, buy petrol & have dinner in Tokaanu. 10mins to Turangi. Here the adventurous can fish in the famous Tongaririo River, play golf, do indoor climbing or arrange rafting, skiing, tramping, horse treks or quad bike trips. For the more relaxed, Turangi offers cafes, restaurants and art work. Whakapapa Skifield is approx 40mins drive and Taupo about 50mins. The house has everything you need. A log fire with plenty of dry wood, duvets and pillows, electric blankets, a well equipped kitchen, tea towels & detergent, washing machine & dryer, TV, DVD player, board games, Gas heater (to warm up the place quickly while the fire gets going) highchair, portacot and baby gate for the bottom of the stairs. Covered parking for 2 cars, offstreet for 2-3 more.
