Access the Benmore, Aviemore & Waitaki dams or the Ohau ski field is an hour away. The Aviemore boat ramp is minutes from the bach and the popular Sailor's Cutting launch site (Benmore Dam) is approx. 10 minutes away, on the way to Omarama.
The township evolved from the days of the construction of the Benmore Dam and today is a popular playground for those interested in water sports or just relaxing and enjoying the waterways for picnics and stunning scenery.
Mount Cook is approx. 1 hour's drive, Wanaka is about 1.5 hours and Queenstown about 3 hour's away.
