Time at the bach is one of our most honoured traditions! With over 50,000 baches in New Zealand and over 100,000km of coastline many of us have sun-filled summer memories of time spent at baches belonging to our families or friends. When we created Bookabach we had several goals in mind:
- Give kiwis and visitors to New Zealand rental-access to some of the finest baches and holiday homes in Godzone.
- Take the hassle out of finding and securing holiday accommodation. Make it so easy that people keep coming back for more and more visits.
- Provide bach owners with a service that maximizes their rental return and takes the hassle out of managing a holiday home that's shared across multiple owners and family members.
- Include regional property managers who provide value and local presence. Give them some of the best tools for coordinating plans with property owners and help them market the properties they care for.
All in all, whether you're a renter, owner or property manager Bookabach is about taking the hassle out of holidays.
Bookabach for Renters
At the heart of the Bookabach site is a searchable database of holiday rental property. All rentals are divided into regions. You can browse properties by clicking on the map from the home page.
If you want to search on availability - you can use our search facility. Simply add your dates, and the number of people you're looking to accommodate and submit your search.
If you know the name of a place, but aren't sure exactly where it is, try using the search facility and type the name of the place into the search keyword field.
A list of results will be returned by the system. Most listings have pictures. Click the picture to see the full listing for this property. You can share listings, or whole selections with your friends or family using the send this page link.
Once you have found a place that interests you check the availability calendar (most owners provide this) and click the booking request link to request a stay. Completing the booking enquiry form sends your contact details to the owner who will contact you directly (Bookabach doesn't get involved here).
Bookabach for Owners
Bookabach started its life as an experiment in internet-based communities for baches. Now in its 3rd generation, our online booking facility is getting pretty slick! Here's how it works: you register your bach, sign up your family and friends as members of your bach and then coordinate your holiday plans online. You can access this information anywhere and at any time - plus it's a great way to make sure the bach is being shared equitably.
If you rent-out your bach, Bookabach can help with a highly effective rental referral service. You receive rental requests that are date-qualified - based on known availability from your bach calendar. Also, if you use a local property manager you can add them to your bach, and have them manage the rental enquiries for you. You don't have to rent out your bach to use Bookabach. There's no charge to use the booking system for your friends and family. We do charge for our rental plans.

Bookabach for Property Managers
Whether you manage 1 or 1000 properties you can use Bookabach to generate rental enquiries and manage inventory. By having booking information online, and accessible to the bach owner and their family, you save time and money. You can see when a bach owner plans to use the bach - and they can see when the property has been rented.
Because Bookabach provides you with a seperate listing for each property, you receive rental enquiries that are pre-qualified for both availability and choice of property.
Bookabach provides a multi-listing discount automatically, based on the number of listings you currently have on the system.
