“House was perfect for us. Easy to relax in as it is easy to keep tidy. Had plenty of land around for the children to play cricket and soccer. Dairy is great for ice cream. Lots of nice beaches not far away especially over the Black Jack hill. The estuary at Otama was great and mussels were good picking at the eastern side of the beach. New Chums beach is pick of the bunch. Perfect holiday spot.”

“Easy access to lauch the Boat.Nice walks up and down the coast..Not to Far to Go to the Shops for the ladies.LOL. . .Plenty of lawn area for fun and games~”

“We love it for the outdoor living, the fire. the way we always seem to have the beach to ourselves. The BlackJack cafe (in season!) Opito Bay, Coromandel and Driving Creek Cafe, Whitianga and the old swing park. It's the Blue House, even our 3 year olds know that.”

“We really loved staying here. We especially loved sitting on the deck by the fire in the evening, and loved that there were enough comfy chairs for everyone. Lots of lawn for kids to run around on and the beach is wonderful. It was also a treat to stay in a holiday bach with a great bathroom and comfy beds. I would love to stay again, but for longer next time. Didn't want to leave! Many thanks :)”

“Not only was the bach in such a beautiful location it was very user friendly. Visiting in the winter we loved the fire and were still able to enjoy the indoor/ outdoor living even when it wasn’t the most perfect weather. I do recommend it for any time of the year, we even had a mid winter swim at the stunning beach. It was also a very easy drive to Whitianga for picking up provisions or a meal out. To sum up; a fabulous place for a weekend getaway with friends or family.”

“Lovely batch, Good facilities, comfortable beds. Great for young kids as the enclosed deck gave them space regardless of the weather. We had 3 families and we all had our own space and a central area big enough for us all. Loved it.”

“The design of this place lends itself to a unique experience with an indoor/outdoor flow and feel. We loved the fireplace and the BBQ under cover yet not inside. It is also very flexible in its sleeping arrangements. Our kids loved the tree-swing at the top of the hill. That kept them entertained alot as well as riding their bikes around, and the beach of course. We loved our walks along the beach.”

“Bach would've been REALLY nice in summer, however during winter with a largeish group (10 people) there is a lack of an indoor living area large enough to accommodate that size and it can be too cold outside. Apart from that, everything was really good as expected :)”

“Great house for a large group - our kayak club stayed here and it was perfect for our purposes. Great position and the outdoor fireplace is fantastic. Would love to go again in summer. We got to kayak with dolphins which was a real buzz - off Kuaotunu beach and Matarangi Beach.”

“An outstanding bach! We were all very impressed by the layout. The main captivations being the fire on the deck and the indoor/outdoor flow. A very quaint little place but close to the stunning beaches of the corromandel. Very relaxed and laid back. we loved it!!”

“This is a great place to get away and relax. The bach is well designed for families, has lots of space, is comfortable and ideal for a stress free time away. The location is ideal as it is away from the main built up centres but so close to the beach. It is within easy range of Opito Bay beaches, Whitianga shops and restaurants, Matarangi beach and golf course or Coromandel township, and is a great base for small excursions. Highly recommended especially for families with children.”

“What a wonderful place to stay. Much bigger than what the photo shows, and the bathroom and kitchen are great as well. We had several families and it worked so well. The huge deck with the fireplace was lovely and with only a 2 min walk to the beautiful beach, we can only rave about the location. Would love to stay again sometime. Recommend to anyone wanting a nice break away.”

“Fabulous bach. We were 4 adults and 7 children - plenty of room and had a wonderful time. Would help if there were more details listed on booking the bach of what was actually there i.e. a table on the verandah and chairs, pillows provided etc. Would book this bach again.”

“Bach was in a nice position - although building in the subdivision meant that we were woken every morning at 830am by saws and diggers etc - not what you want on a holiday! wood provided for fire on deck but no kindling to start fire - as was raining hard to pick up dry driftwood from beach. Showers built for short people. Facilities good all though living space limited for a larger group apart from on the outside deck - which is covered.”

“Awesome batch – great for three families to get together and just hang! Rooms well sound proofed if one needed a sleep in while the toddlers got on with their day. All other facilities top notch – worth a stay just to experience the showers.”

“We stayed at the bach for 2 nights and had a truly wonderful time. The bach is spacious and well designed and offers lots of comfort. The lovely sandy beach is only 1min away. The best thing about this bach is that it is a relaxing retreat even for a group of up to 16 people.”
