“Kohine provided the perfect antitode to a busy and stressful month. Perfectly located directly opposite the beach. Warm, cosy and perfectly appointed. All that was needed was there; we were able to rustle up great meals in a kitchen that had all the necessary pots, pans & utensils. Colourful and comfortable interiors, funky exteriors. Would definately recommend and keen to return ourselves.”

“Once again we enjoyed an absolutely LOVELY visit to Kohine. When we arrived the place was immaculately presented, as always, and our favourite lolly jar still bursting. Kohine has such a home-away-from-home feel, such a pleasurable place to be. The mermaid feature on a calm evening is always an extra treat. Thank you to the renters for your very reasonably priced brilliant little get-away. Looking forward to our diaries clearing for next time!!”

“The weather was complete rubbish (glad for the board games!), but the house was fantactic! Just what we needed for a little weekend get-a-way. The water feature was very relaxing. Would love to buy a place just like it! The only downside was that there were a lot of flies buzzing around...and you need a hammock!”

“Wow, what a fantastic bach. A whole lot more than I had expected for the very reasonable price. .All the comforts of home and more. The courtyard was very cosy even though there were gale force winds and rain most of the weekend.
Managed a walk on the beach just across the road.
Would recommend this to others as a wonderful place for a break away and we will be making arrangements for a return stay soon.”

“I very much enjoyed our stay at Kohine. Loved the decor and all the little touches such as the provision of tea, coffee, sugar and plunger coffee. Also what i really loved was that the beds were made hen we arrived and we did not have to do a big clean-up before we left. Definitely a good break ...just too short!”

“We enjoyed our stay at Kohine immensley. Everthing was to a high standard and spotless. The furnishings are very tasteful and comfortable. It was totally relaxing and lovely sitting in the tiled courtyard with the water feature on having a glass of wine reading the papers.

Loved the LCD TV with Sky, books, music, movies, kick boards,games, all made for an excellent stay ( nice touches like a lolly jar and vinegar and cooking oil etc etc the list goes on ( best value for money place I have stayed NZ wide) very private and clean. first stop when I come back down.”

“What a delightful property. Plenty of character and right next to the beach. Lovely courtyard with mermaid and water feature. Exciting when the wind blows! Super base for visiting Wellington, or for staying local and enjoying the beach walks. Restaurants nearby (some walking distance) Recommend the Brown Sugar cafe.”

“We had a very relaxing stay at Kohine, we loved the courtyard it was a real little micro climate it must be several degrees hotter which we really enjoyed. We went down to the river mouth and watched the locals whitebaiting and fishing, we walked along the beach and took photos of the sunsets, so beautiful. We didn't dine out as the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and the herbs and silver beet were very handy. Thanks we will be back.”
