“My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Haven Cottage. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, is great value for money and it is in a perfect location for doing the Tongariro Crossing. Plateau Shuttles happily pick up from there to take you to the crossing. The Spiral cafe nearby has excellent post-tramping breakfasts with friendly service. We will definitely stay again at Haven when we return to National Park.”

“Unbelievably good value!! Cottage is small (photo of bedroom shows width of cottage) but works well and 3 of us managed fine (2 adults and a 3 yr old). If you are intending to use the small bed during winter you may want to take an extra quilt as there is only one. The heaters provided do keep the place toasty though. Shower is a little disappointing. Laundry shared with house on same section. Would happily stay again. You won't find anything else so reasonable. Perfect for couples.”

“The Haven Cottage was a great find for myself and two friends! Although it was fairly basic, it had everything that we required. It was nice and cosy and we were able to relax after doing the Tongariro Crossing. The Spiral cafe up the road is really good too. I would definitely recommend Haven, and would love to stay there again!”
