The Opotiki Cottage has modest rates, quiet location, an easy stroll to the Opotiki CBD with its cafes, bars and restaurants, child safety, closeness to beaches, meander over the road to the historic wharf area and more .... these are just some of the things guests like about staying at the Opotiki Cottage. The 1920's Cottage is being gradually renovated, its insides are simple, clean but a bit worn in places. The shower is gas mains pressure with plentiful town water supply so everyone gets a hot shower. A new full kitchen stove and microwave were installed recently. Linen/duvets/pillows are provided on all beds. Towels and some supplies are on hand to get you started on your holiday stay. A range of DVDs and books are also provided for your use.
Leave your car in the driveway and stroll 2 mins around the corner to Museum, Banks, Restaurants, historic Cinema, Hotel, and Opotiki Main Street shopping. Experience the culture that is Opotiki. Use Opotiki as your base to day trip explore the East Coast, Whakatane, Rotorua, White Island.
The just constructed in 2010 Opotiki Water Park by the Wharf is free and fun. Kayaks can be hired from us too.
