Beautiful views, very nice garden. The terrace is great but lacks a parasol, so using it in the afternoon was roughly impossible. Living room is in contemporary style, well done. The kitchen is okay if you accept that refurbisment has been done only halfways (open a drawer and you see, that is has been painted only to the mid.). The kitchen equipment is very basic. The sleeping rooms are okay, the toilet too old and not up to the standard of the saloon. Cleanliness was substandard.
2 Aucklanders and 2 Cantabrians - we stayed for 5 nights. Loved the view out to the water and the outlook over the garden. Bleak weather did not stop us getting on with Dunedin stuff. Proved to be a good house just to chill out in during the evenings, excellent hear pump and excellent eating places in near-by Portobello. Be aware of steepish staircase to 2 bedrooms upstairs. Recommended accommodation, particularly if you're 'doing' the Peninsular.
