Nice bach very close to beach, clean and tidy. Very well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Especially entrance and outdoor areas could use some TLC though. Unfortunately backyard NOT safe for dogs and young kids, mainly because of KARAKA tree growing over the fence and dropping its fruit onto the lawn - these are highly toxic. Also, the property is fully fenced but two of the gates can't be closed due to broken/missing latches which kind of defeats the purpose.
Location was very good, being next to the beach. The outside space was quite good. However, the bach itself is very run down and dirty and there is an old caravan full of rubbish dumped outside the front of the property. Access not suitable for SUVs as there is no room to turn around.
The caravan which is to the far left of front part the property (not "dumped" outside) should be locked and inaccessible to renters normally. It is easily seen in google maps if potential renters are concerned. It is correct that SUVs cannot be turned around on property. I reverse mine, so potential renters should be aware of this.
First impressions from the outside were disappointing and it would benefit from being tidied up, however once inside, the bach had everything you need and the back deck and garden were great. It felt a bit dark inside, but then the weather was grey, which contributed to this. We enjoyed walks in the estuary and the beach and once the sun came out views of Kapiti Island.
