    Property could do with a good spring clean, e.g. big cobwebs inside & out Dirty lounge walls from the fire Did not comply with smoke detector regulation in the bedroom area No hand rail on steep entry steps No power point in the bathroom Dishwasher draw runners need maintenance No freezer or ice making facility Milk 10 days out of date Positive Notes - roomy, well appointed,plenty of towels & linen. comfortable beds lovely Whitebait fritters from the Cafe next door,

    Nice fire! Warm comfy rooms. Great kitchen but dish washer wasnt washing the dishes properly.. The little outside deck definitely needs a hand rail!! Great central location to lots of fantastic activities nearby. Excellent coffee in the cafe and the cabinet food is great too. Laundry facilities were advertised but weren't available in house when we stayed. We were offered the back packers laundry up the street.. ???? Didn't use it.

    Great find in the Catlins. Well refurbished and spotless bach. Had everything we needed for our stay including the restaurant attached. If you are exploring the Catlins, book in here and use it as a base.
