We loved staying in the Dear Cottage. The cottage had a really lovely, homely feel to it. It had everything we needed. The location was very central and you could easily walk to the town centre. We had no problems finding a parking space outside the cottage. We would love to stay again.
The property was ideally located to walk into Nelson and the fully fenced back yard was perfect for our dogs. The cottage was charming and had everything we needed. Unfortunately the main bedrooms at the front of the house are right on a busy main road and we did find the foot traffic late at night annoying (we were there over the Xmas/New Year period) and the noise from one of the next door neighbours late at night was also disturbing.
I am glad you feel (manager feedback) that I was available to help. As you've said, the problems you encountered were probably due to festive season revelries and can be experienced anywhere at this time of year. The hush glass in the streetside windows works very well if the windows are closed. With regard to the unusual neighbour noise, effective control services by the local council are available. and if you'd accepted my offer of help I might have been able to do more.
Comfortable, spacious cottage within walking distance of town and just over an hour's drive from Abel Tasman. Lovely garden, perfect for bbqs in the evenings. Very helpful owner who even came and let us back in when we managed to lock ourselves out one evening!! Thanks :)
