Description

1970s style NZ bach.

Over the road from gorgeous sandy beach. Quiet and tranqill.

Approximately 3km walk along coastal track to famous Moeraki boulders.

5 minutes walk to Fleurs restaurant.

Visit yellow eyed penguin colony at light house ( 5minutes drive)

This is a very basic, non modern bach. Guests need to bring own linen. Guests must tidy up and clean house after their stay. This is important as otherwise subsequent guests are dissatisfied with standard of cleanliness.

If prospective guests do not like warn furnishings, spiders webs/trapped flies, lack TV reception or saggy beds this is not the bach for them!.

Finally we are unable to regularly visit the bach ourselves so can not guarantee how well the last guests have tidied up.

If none of this puts you off, I think you will enjoy your stay in this funky old bach as we do.

Special conditions:

Guests may check in to the bach at 1pm and must vacate on day of departure by 12pm

Smokers are welcome to stay but please do not smoke inside.

Pets welcome

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

    We loved this Bach! The games, records, videos and the fact that it's dog friendly was a real bonus for us. There were heaps of extra blankets, magazines and books to keep everyone entertained. We had a lovely walk down to the boulders and the cafe there. It's also super close to Fleur's Place. The Bach is really cosy and we are already planning a trip back when it's warmer.

    A nice tidy bach with 3 bedrooms, a nice balcony looking out at the fishing boats and the peninsula to the north of Moreaki Boulders. Firewood was dry and easy to light which gave warmth. We would go to this bach again if we are going south and it is available. There is a cafe/restaurant/bar nearby which is in walking distance.

  • Would have liked to have stayed longer

    Would have liked to have stayed longer. Heaps of character, and clean. A true Kiwi bach.
