When you awake in the morning to the song of the tuis and bellbirds you can cook your bacon and farm fresh eggs in the complete kitchen. The fridge is stocked with all the food you need for a large country breakfast, especially the freshly ground Supreme coffee. There is always home baking and fresh garden flowers supplied. There is a separate lavatory and the shower room has a wall heater and heated towel rail.A new feature is the installaion of FREEVIEW television so you can watch the Rugby World Cup games live.

Further on you will pass through the fishing village of Ngawi and then on to the Cape Palliser lighthouse and the largest seal colony on mainland New Zealand. The coastal road is ideal biking and the Palliser Bay water is renowned for diving and fishing.

Absolutely glorious property, with a fascinating history. Beautiful grounds, friendly farm animals (including donkeys!) and the cottage was super cute and cosy. Many thanks to Jacqui and Alastair for the warm welcome, including home-baking, and a fridge full of breakfast goodies, including fresh eggs from the farm. It was a wonderful break. We'll definitely be back!
Excellent getaway for 2 nights over Easter - the bach is perfect size for 2 people and the food etc they leave for breakfast is a lovely touch. We went to see some of the animals on the property - donkeys and horses and chickens etc! The bach is really relaxing and cut off - no Wi-Fi or cell service so it's a proper getaway! Also very close to the pinnacles which are a must see. Thanks for a lovely stay :)
The cottage is absolutely delightful. Fully kitted out with everything you need for a restful stay. All the ingredients for a delicious breakfast are included. Set in lovely gardens, which are a scenic backdrop to a beautiful historic homestead, and a very relaxing stroll around to the chickens and Kune Kune pigs. A few minutes drive to the spectacular Putangirua Pinnacles and coast. Alistair and Jacqui are charming hosts, highly recommend anyone wanting a get a way from it all stay.
