The small coast settlement of Kaimaumau is a well kept secret, situated 38km north of Kaitaia, on the Rangaunu Harbour and the beautiful 21km long East Beach. Most visitors to the Far North don’t get to experience East Beach.
If you like boating, fishing, diving, swimming, surfing, bird watching, kayaking, walking, beach combing or just relaxing then this is the place for you!
You can fish from the reserve in front of the house or take an early morning or evening fishing trip on the hosts fully surveyed 18ft Stabicraft boat or surf cast East Beach or Nineymile Beach which is only 30mins away. Bring your own boat we have plenty of room for parking.
Kaimaumau is perfectly situated as a base to explore the Far North with Nineymile Beach, Cape Reinga, Spirits Bay, Henderson Bay and Rarawa Beach, all breath taking beaches with in easy reach.
By taking the 4wd to East Beach or a boat trip across the harbour and out to sea to simply experience the tranquillity of the area or catch some fish, you will have an experience to remember!

Carol and Bruce were great hosts in this gorgeous little unpolluted bay located off the beaten track. A perfect spot for exploring Northland. Bruce's evening fishing trip on his boat will be a special memory for the kids. The unit was spacious and well equipped.
