Recently refurbished to retain the original character with 3 bedrooms (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs), 2 bathrooms, this home comfortably sleeps 6 and offers the modern comforts of heated floors in both bathrooms, eco-panels in bedrooms and heat pumps on both levels. The upstairs open plan living and dining has a wonderful indoor / outdoor flow complete with a balcony that is perfect for enjoying the sun and uninterrupted views of Lake Wakatipu. There is also a second separate lounge/office for when you need some peace and quiet! Downstairs is a spacious second living area, kitchenette, bedroom and well appointed bathroom (including bath) making this an ideal property for families with children. The rooms on this level open out onto a balcony that also looks out over the lake. There is a public walkway to the lake 200m from the house and a couple of tree swings for kids. The Hilton Hotel is an easy 15 minute stroll where there are 3 restaurants, a delicatessen and spa facilities. A 15 minute drive to Queenstown city centre and 5 minutes from the Airport , Remarkables and Five Mile Shopping Centres and Remarkables Ski Field. 'Mahana' has been in our family for over 40 years and is a fantastic base to explore the lakes district. Special conditions: Each stay incurs a $120 charge for quality linen, towels and exit clean so you have nothing to do but relax and enjoy. We have a strict no party or smoking policy. Extras: Cleaning and Linen Hire (Required, NZ$120.00 per stay); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);
