Turn right from the driveway, walk for 3 minutes and there is a track down the stunning beach of Perehipe - medium sized, safe for swimming and perfect for launching a boat or participating in water sports.

A 10-minute walk will take you to the large ocean style beach of Tokerau. Expansive sand and a road-way for car or quad bike it is great for time with the family.

Also a short drive will take you to one of Northlands gems, in Matai Bay! Or a few minutes drive to Carringtons Resort - enjoy a round of golf on the 18-hole course or lunch at the Winery.

The Bach itself has 2 bedrooms with a Queen bed in one room and bunks in the other. Both rooms have good storage with wardrobes. There is also a large sofa bed in the lounge with an inner spring mattress.

An older typical kiwi style bach perfect if you want to get away from everything, great location for fishing and swimming. A good walk down a steep track to a secluded beach and for the not so able a short drive to several beautiful beaches. The bach itself was well equipped with everything kitchen wise and sky tv and wifi was appreciated during a patch of rain. Beautiful birds singing but due to the bush surroundings mosquitos are a problem.

we had a great time at Tuitonga beach, below the bach, kids liked exploring the rocks and getting shellfish on Tokerau beach. We had a really great day out with Marty from Cape Reinga Adventures (operates from Hauhora)-kayaks, fishing the cape and 90 mile beach all in one day. We would highly reccommend it (ph 09 409 8445). Lots to see in and around the Karikari peninsula too; all in all a great holiday.
