Gorgeous spot, we stayed with two young children and they had great fun on the kayak and lawn. Well equipped house, clean and good linens. Not too far to Passage Rock for lunch.

This cottage is in a glorious secluded location, with it's own private beach. It is a fabulous old cottage that has been renovated and two small bedrooms cleverly added upstairs. We loved the cottage however there was no window treatment in the lounge, which meant in the evening the lounge was too sunny to sit in. Some more seating in the lounge would also be useful. The kitchen was also lacking some basic equipment, such as a sharp knife and a working can opener. Still, we would love to return.

  • This was a wonderful property, we felt very special

This was a wonderful property, we felt very special. It was a secluded retreat from the hustle of Auckland City which is exactly what we wanted! Many thanks - hope we can come back sometime!

  • the location is outstanding if private is what you want

the location is outstanding if private is what you want. While the house it's self is not as big or quite as brilliant as the images online make it out to be it was still very comfortable. Big bummer was how filthy the beach was, we spend the first mornig there cleaning it with the kids and we got 3 rubbish bags full. Something that should be done as part of the property maintenance, in my opinion. On the whole nice place, great spa BUT a bit over priced for what you actually get.
