This cute lake front house on Te Oneroa Bay offers stunning lake views, with water sports and trout fishing in crystal clean fresh water on your doorstep.

Go for a swim in the fresh water across the road or if you want to soothe the body, it's worth a swim in the geothermal Waitangi Soda Springs, just 5 kms away. Pass the Rotoma shops and turn right on Manawahe Rd, then 700m on your left.

Two boat ramps, one next to Rotoma store/Roadhouse Cafe where you can pickup picnic supplies and takeaways and another ramp at the south end of the lake near the playground at Matahi Spit. Plenty of parking on the property for boats.Ski & wakeboard lanes beckon the avid skier and afterward, back to the bach for a BBQ.

Lake Rotoma is one of the smaller lakes with its own more secluded charm with great catch rates in the district and it’s open year round. Rainbow trout are most common in Rotorua’s lakes, but there are also brown trout and tiger trout which are only released in Lake Rotoma. You can buy a fishing licence from our local Rotoma Trading Post, 178 State Highway 30, Lake Rotoma (07) 362-0722.

Our local artist "Joe Kemp" is just a door away and welcomes you to his sculpture gallery for tours by appointment.

We are 40 mins from Rotorua tourist attractions, Whakatane or Mt Maunganui/Tauranga 1hr20, or 10 mins to Kawerau over the hill.

Open to game bird hunting. Shore based hunting is only permitted on the sections of Lake Rotoma Scenic Reserve on sw side of Te Rotoiti Bay, and a DOC game bird hunting permit is required. All temporary structures must be removed no later than two weeks after the close of the game bird hunting season.

With its exceptionally clean water, superb fishing and hunting, wide open expanses and family-friendly boating and picnic areas, Lake Rotoma is a great location for the perfect family holiday or keen hunter.

Property not clean, oven filthy, no dial markings on the oven. Leaking jug, Bunks squeaky. Poor water pressure which fluatated from scalding to luke warm. The final straw was a mouse on the bed during the night ooh!

Nice location, cosy bach but noisy at night as the main road is very close, beds and matress are very old and making noise everytime you move in bed. The bach is not well maintained. Doors are making noice as well. Despite the uncomfortable beds and noise from the road the bach is quite a nice place and the access to the lake is also plus.

Beautiful location across the road from the lake and plenty of parking for the boat. The bach itself is basic but has everything you need for a weekend away. We will be back for another stay I am sure.
