Bach or holiday home | Lake Ohakuri | #13495
Atiamuri is only about 30 min from Taupo and Rotorua and as well as the lake on the door step (800m away) there are another 3 lakes within 30 km making this an ideal location for most of your watersport needs whether it’s waterskiing, wakeboarding, barefooting or fishing. Don't have a boat but still want to wakeboard etc? Don't worry, Anarchy Boarding Park is only 25 minutes away at Wairakei. If you prefer your water frozen then Whakapapa on Mount Ruapehu is only 1 ½ hours away. Waitomo Caves are also only 1 ½ hours away.
If water isn’t your cup of tea then there is still plenty to do including bungy jumping, high ropes confidence course, mountain biking and geothermal tours in Taupo or the luge, Zorb, lions, mountain biking through the Redwoods (one of NZ’s best mountain biking parks) and geothermal tours in Rotorua.
Located on the Waikato River, Atiamuri Village was built in the 1950’s for the construction workers who built Atiamuri Dam. The “Pukeko and Bull” is a cafe/general store/ bottle store/bar/restaurant five minutes north along SH1 and a further minute up the road is the local petrol station.
While there is Vodafone and Telecom coverage it is a bit sketchy and you may need to find the ideal spots for coverage (I'd mark them but they move around depending on weather conditions).

Great place to stay clean and tidy! open plan living area accomadates 8 easy. lots of off street parking a couple cars with boats on fit up the drive :) People next door are Lovely and live there makeing it a bit more secure. Remember It's a great BATCH!! if you want 5 star Take your own bedding and youll be very happy!
The property was very shabby and quite dirty. Thankfully we were socialising at a friends house nearby and only using property for a place to sleep. Fridge and oven were all filthy, bathroom was gross with lots of hair everywhere (both head and body hair) toothpaste on shower walls and really grotty shower curtain. So pleased we took sleeping bags and our own pillows so we didn't have to use any supplied bedding. Would have been better putting a tent on friends Lawn.
