Chalet | National Park | #13645
We have set up the holiday home how we would like a holiday home to be. It is a family friendly duplex (one house split into two self contained units). We offer a covered carport and extra uncovered off street parking. The unit is an open plan living lounge and kitchen area. The house has a heat transfer unit, so once you get the fire going you turn on the fan and the extra heat is transferred into the two bedrooms. Double Glazed Windows throughout the house. The second bedroom bed is a bunk queen bed with a single bed above. The reason is to allow families to have children have their own bed and not have to share. We still only allow 8 guests in total! National Park is and excellent area to enjoy either summer or winter activities, to name a few - skiing, tramping, mountain biking, kayaking. * Each bed has duvet, blanket and pillows. (Bed linen is an extra cost) * Fully equipped kitchen. * Children's games, toys and books. * Bath and hand towels are not provided. The price per night is for up to and including 8 people, Please be honest with how many people are staying,it is for us to gauge power usage, firewood consumption etc. PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY RENT OUT THE ONE SIDE OF THE HOUSE, WE USE THE OTHER SIDE OURSELVES. CHECK IN: 2PM CHECK OUT: 11AM Please be aware you will NOT be able to unpack if the previous guests are still at the house you will have to wait until they have left and we have been through and checked it is ready for you. (There are some very nice cafes within National Park). Extras: Linen - PRICE PER BED (Optional, NZ$20.00 per stay); Bond for property (Refundable) (Required, NZ$100.00 per stay); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);
1 x Single bed
2 x Fold-out sofa bed
*Pricing may vary depending on the dates you choose and the number of guests. Additional charges (extras) and minimum stay criteria may also apply. Service fees may also apply.

We love how clean and well-appointed this house always is. The fire is great and warms the whole house. Having a heated towel rail and heat lamp in the bathroom is a real plus. Great value for money, and a perfect base for weekend adventures.
It is interesting that this is what we first got from this guest via email well before they arrived - "Ok thanks Kelly excellent instructions." Then when I go to check the house the day after they left is was not left clean and took me 2 hours to clean and reset. They were then informed that the bond will not be returned. Then we get feedback as above. Please feel free to check out our 12 pages of feedback clearly stating how happy guests have been with our house.
We stayed here in July 2017, and the house was perfect. Instructions left for us were clear to follow and Roy and Kelly provided everything we needed for a nice cosy stay. We especially loved the fire place and the unlimited supply of firewood. Will definitely be back when we are next in the area.
