It is surprising and disappointing that the public rubbish collection in a ‘green’ city such as Nelson is so poor. We have only recently been given recycling bins, glass is not accepted in the yellow bins and collection is fortnightly, alternating glass and the yellow bin. The blue bag for general rubbish is collected weekly. Our housekeeper places the bags and bins out on the appropriate days. We are sorry you arrived just before a collection day and were inconvenienced.
A stunning place, so we'll decorated, lovely art on the walls. Huge comfy bed, a tardis looks smaller from outside but so spacious. The garden is glorious, both the grassed areas and the covered over patio with table and chairs. Great shower, and a really good kitchen with plenty of pots pans and cooking implements. Fifteen minute walk from town and the restaurants and bars. Try the Indian Cafe if you like a curry, and the Sprig and Fern on Hardy for beer. Highly recommended place to stay
