The kitchen had a bad smell which we tried to air-out, we removed all our trash, etc, nothing made the smell stop. The house is run-down and grubby. The house linens were worn and unmatched, and the pillows were matted and stained. The listing implies that the house backs onto a scenic river trail, but it does not. A number of lamps and ceiling fixtures did not work. A good thing--close by is a cafe and fishing supply store, which sells coffees and fun stuff.
I loved the decor of the place, it felt homely. However, it looked like someone was living there. I felt like i was invading their space. I would like to know if someone does live there. Just curiuos, However, I looked forward every night to go back to the bach and relax after a busy day at the reunion in waitetoko. Truly grateful, thankyou
