Bach or holiday home | Waverley Beach | #18690
Nukuhau is situated half an hour over scenic roads from the main highway, on a high plateau overlooking our carbon farm and QEII reserve. The large house is basically but comfortably furnished with all you need for a retreat or holiday. In addition to beds we also have foam mattresses which can be used marae style on the living room floor.
The 500 acre farm consists of steep hills and valleys but is fully tracked and suitable for exploring on foot. At the bottom of the farm there is a small river with swimming holes. In summer you can enjoy a covered BBQ area looking out to the mountains or soak in the fire bath at the edge of the lawn while enjoying the views. This property is the ideal place for a quiet retreat or as a base for outdoor activities.
It is situated adjacent to two DOC reserves which can be accessed for tramping or hunting. Nearby are historic sites, viewpoints with commanding views from Mt Taranaki to Mt Ruapehu, and a local museum.
For wet weather we have games, books, DVDs, and a piano.

A wonderful, remote location with amazing views, large comfortable living space and outdoors area. Had a very relaxing time with great weather despite the season. No complaints whatsoever, though the gravel road on the final leg to get there might be a little daunting to an unprepared city dweller, it is a picturesque and not-overlong drive and all part of the remote country experience. We would love to stay again
