We highly recommend The Fairview for a summer stay. However, we spent Queens Birthday weekend there and would have appreciated being warned the toilet and bathroom were out the backdoor and the shower was only accessible via outside staircase in the laundry. The bach is quaint and a typical old kiwi style bach. However, for a cost of $200 plus per night, we were disappointed with the quality and age of the beds. Once again, awesome for summer but, we felt, overpriced for a winter stay
This was our first visit to Raglan and we will definitely return. Its a great little community and Fairview was a really good place to stay. We have young children and the large fenced back yard was great. Its a short pleasant walk along Cliff street next to the tidal harbour to get to the centre of Raglan. An older bach, Fairview has plenty of room and is well appointed.
