Bach or holiday home | Kaikoura Township | #20087
Kincaid Cottage is situated in open green countryside with breath-taking views of the adjacent mountains and down to the Pacific Ocean. This self-contained cottage has it all! The rooms are spacious and luxuriously furnished, both having their own well- appointed bathrooms. The lounge and dining area has a TV, DVD player and free-view digital box, a library, DVD’s, guitar, plus games cabinet.
There is of course a fully equipped kitchen. Local hosts Jessica and Greg are happy to help with recommendations for some of the many activities available in the area, the most famous being whale watching and swimming with dolphins. There is also a large selection of excellent cafes and restaurants in the township. Kaikoura is a unique town where the mountains meet the sea. Here you will find a vast array of wildlife. There is much to see and do; well worth at least a few days stay. The cottage is situated in the grounds of the historic Kincaid lodge which can trace its European history back to 1856.This may seem young for our international visitors but is old for New Zealand. The Kincaid “run” was named after Kincaid in Stirling, Scotland where the second owners lived. The existing homestead was completed in 1903. Kincaid Cottage was completed in 2008. Jessica & Greg look forward to sharing their piece of country paradise with you.

Kincaid cottage is absolutely beautiful. The surroundings are delightful and whilst we couldn't see the mountains because of the weather, we have no doubt the view is stunning. The cottage itself is luxuriously appointed and has everything you could possibly need. Our children were incredibly happy to free range the property and loved seeing the animals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to come back here again should we ever return to Kaikoura. Simply superb.
A very late but heartfelt thank you!! Thank you for your kind words and thank you for leaving the cottage as clean as it was when you arrived!! When it comes to neat freaks I believe I have indeed met my match! ;-) Thank you! Hope you are both doing great and that I will have the pleasure of catching up with you both again sometime soon! J. Highly recommended! We booked for 3 nights but stayed for an extra 3 in this beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage. The cottage and location (and owners) provided everything we needed to have a fun, relaxing and enjoyable family holiday. We loved the little touches that showed the owners had taken the time to find out a little about our family before we arrived. We loved feeding the sheep and chickens and having coffee on the back deck looking at the stunning view of the Kaikoura Ranges.
