  • This bach has a spectacular view from the spacious lounge and deck

This bach has a spectacular view from the spacious lounge and deck. The bush setting and bird life are very pleasant (bellbirds, wood pigeons etc). The bach was warm and had everything we needed except a laundry. These positives helped make up for the maintenance issues (leaking guttering meant a wet dash to the bathroom, shower pressure low and some doors very hard to open). But overall a very enjoyable stay.

  • Te locations is fantastic

Te locations is fantastic. Great view of Akaroa harbour and only 15 minutes walk down a gravel drive to reach the town. The Bach has the feel of leaving civilisation for a short while.

  • This was our second visit

This was our second visit. It's nice being walking distance to everything in Akaroa but not in the actual township. While we will certainly be back, I do feel the batch needs a bit of maintenance. The doors to the bedrooms and games room are getting harder and harder to open, someone needs to plane them down a bit so they stop sticking; and some of the heaters are worse for wear which made me think twice about using them, they were old and wonky. The two in the living room are great tho.
