Fantastic base to explore the Far North.

Our retreat is on the main west coast highway in a beautiful part of Northland. We're in the heartland along the west coast between the Hokianga Harbour and Ahipara Beach on the scenic road nestled at the base of Orowhahana Mountain and next to the Herekino Forest. Set in a hidden forest glade, this property will surprise you.

Easy access to all Far North attractions. A great base to explore Ahipara beach only 15mins drive, golf course, or similar distance to Herekino harbour.

The driveway is a work in progress and has two easy stream fords and a steepish hill that you need to drive assertively.

  • Lovely tranquil location, surrounded by native

Lovely tranquil location, surrounded by native. Privacy for couples having stand-alone buildings, but central communal area in addition. Great pizza oven, and nice to use the hot tub. Rented the place with a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Would recommend it to others.

    Owner/manager responds:

This clients reputation unfortunately did not precede them.Their communication was far from transparent. Our linen is always fresh and the place clean. This clients comments are malicious because we asked them to leave because of an inability to pay. They left the lounge covered in dog hair. Some seriously delusional behaviour here.

  • Very beautiful and nice place

Very beautiful and nice place. Guest houses are very tidy and comfortable. Even though the place is ran by solar power, to be honest for 3 days we never had a need for any electronic device. The place has a nice mounting view that you never stop to enjoy. If you want take a rest from the busy city life, this is definitely the place you should visit!
