Bach or holiday home | Ruapuke Beach | #21258
Wildcoast Ruapuke is set on the sweeping foothills of Mt Karioi overlooking Ruapuke Beach and the Tasman Sea. Ruapuke is a spectacular part of the country, with bush, rocky bottom streams, the beautiful black sand beach, waterfalls, bush and mountain walks, swimming holes and peace and privacy. Wildcoast is the ultimate getaway.
We have two studio style cabins set amongst our 120 acre farm surrounded by bush and streams with beautiful ocean views. They are proudly run on alternative power, the lights are solar powered and the water and stove are run on LPG. There are no power sockets in the cabins, so there are no TV's etc. If anything needs charging we will happily charge them for you. The water comes from a beautiful stream on the mountain, it is wonderful and fresh to drink or to soak in a hot bath with a view. Both cabins have BBQ and a private deck.
Windyflax is set among flax and native bush with lovely views of the sea. This cabin sleeps up to three people, but an extra mattress can be added if required. You have a private deck to have your BBQ on.
Wildcoast also offers 2 1/2 - 3hr horse adventures which take you into the hills and down ridges and valleys and onto Ruapuke Beach. Our horses are wonderful, we will have a horse to suit your level of riding. We have a few different options for our horse adventures. We are in the process of updating our web page at the moment
It is a 15 minute walk or a short drive to Ruapuke Beach for good surf, fishing and maybe a quick dip.
Raglan is only 25 minutes drive away to stock up on supplies or surf at one of the many world renowned surf breaks.

The property itself worked well and was right on the lake. The lake had a bad weed problem, which made swimming tricky, but the boys loved playing in the kayaks provided (lifejackets also provided). Small point, but it would be nice if the Bach had some basic food items., such as salt and pepper.
Stayed here for two nights and had a lovely time. The cabin had everything we needed, very clean and loved the bath! Beautiful looking out over the valley in the evenings. The dogs loved going for walks along the river and exploring the surrounds. Really recommended if you want to unplug from city life!
We went with our 2 babies, tidy batch, clean, and really quiet...loved that. We needed an escape and we find it. We also did the horse riding tour..........was my first experience, Penny and her partner are really kind people and we loved this trip ,forest, mountain, beaches...a dream for a first horse riding...any time keen to do it again with no hesitation. Highly recommended place. Thank you guys The frenchy and his family
