This renovated homestead offers spacious open living areas with bay windows opening to a large deck, overlooking Fitzroy Harbour. There is a functional modern kitchen complete with gas oven and Stanley wood oven. The dining area adjoins the kitchen and has seating for up to 10. There are five large bedrooms (one with ensuite); two bedrooms have queen beds, the others have singles. The whole experience during the booking process, arrival greeting , the property itself & the departure was all top notch. Big group on a fishing & diving trip, but there is no doubt most of us will be heading back for stays with family (will be back next year). A very special part of the world & an exspectionally unique property that all kiwis should make the effort to visit. Couldn’t recommend it more highly as the whole experience was great. Thanks for having us.

Brilliant location, property is clearly rundown and as per a bach rather than a 5* accommodation. Shower just a trickle & stove not great....ran out of hotwater. The mooring appears dubious and requires work I suspect.

Everything! Stunning gardens, heritage building, full of history and character. Stunning walkways up through the forest, birdlife galore, fishing off your own private jetty in crystal clear waters. Great family getaway. Many thanks :) We will be back
