The property has a cosy cottage feel, great for chatting and cooking meals inside and out with family and friends. With a unique and spacious sheltered barbequeue area surrounded by grapevines and wired for sound, it's a fantastic social space by day, or by night with its relaxing coloured lighting.

The back garden offers plenty of space to play and heaps of fruit if the season is right. There's space to park the boat out front and if you have been out fishing then theres a dedicated fish cleaning trough behind the garage.

This bach is located on the edge of the township with farmland behind and secluded from its neighbours. It's convenient to all Otematata has to offer; park, tennis/basketball court, skate park, convenience store, pub/restaurant, golf course etc.

The Waitaki Valley is home of the hydro lakes and they are set up for recreational use with boat launching ramps close to Otematata to access Lakes Aviemore and Benmore. Kayak to a secluded cove, catch a fish on the way or get out in your boat for some family fun. There is stunning scenery all around and walks to get amongst it and some awesome views. On a clear day you can see Mt Cook from the viewpoint on the hill by Benmore Dam. If you are more into winter fun then it is only 1.5hrs to Wanaka and less than an hour to the lifts at Awakino and Ohau ski fields.

Can be flexible on linen and cleaning options with prior arrangement. Typically additional $40 for us to arrange cleaning and linen wash and replace on behalf.

The sofa bed in the 4th bedroom can be laid out as 2 singles or a double. At this time it is supplied with linen for 2 singles. The room can serve as a 'rumpus' room for the kids with TV set up to play DVDs.

Having lived here ourselves for 2 years this house is really is a home from home, summer and winter. The heat pump can handle the -5 in winter and 30+ in summer. The log burner adds to the ambience on those wintery nights. Enquiries for long term occupancy welcome.

Special conditions: Pets allowed with prior approval Smoking OK outside provided you bring own ashtrays and leave no trace Small children OK but you'd have to bring own cot etc, house is child friendly but not child proof.

Having stayed at many an Otematata crib, this would have to be near the top. Spacious, well heated, sunny and great views of Totara Peak. Would love to see it in summer when the grapes have leaves on. Would stay here again.

  • The house is really big, and it has all the basics

The house is really big, and it has all the basics. We arrived in a really cold day, but with the air conditioning we managed to warm up the house in just a minutes. We didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the backyard, because of the cold weather, but we will enjoy it in our next stay =)
