Bach or holiday home | National Park | #22645
This is a nice little ex-railway cottage that does the basics well. It's compact but functional.
I've just installed a gas hot water system which heats water as you use it, so it can never run out. No waiting for the water to heat up again to have your showers!
The wood burner in the lounge will provide all the heat you need.
The kitchen is simple but has everything you need to cook a meal, though if you're just in town for a few days skiiing, I'd highly recommend saving time and going to one of the many local pubs or cafes to eat.
No TV reception, but there's a TV and VCR, as well as about 100 classic and not-so-classic movies on tape.
And there's a view of the mountain from most rooms in the house, so you can check the weather forecast just by looking out the window.
Special conditions: No smoking please! Bring your own sheets, towels and tea-towels.

Personally, I'd give this 5 stars because I liked it so much. Really comfortable with that traditional kiwi bach feel. Luxury-wise it's probably less than 3 stars, but luxury accommodation seekers are not going to stay here. This is the bach for fun and relaxing - full of character with everything you could need, a comfy crash-pad for snow adventures. We absolutely loved it. Highly recommended.
It's not 5 star, but it is in the value for money department Of course it's not perfect but at this prize you can't complain! I had 4 boys with me and it was just fine Enjoyed the video selection on rainy days, otherwise boys were on their bicycles outside Will definitely stay there again
