Lovely quiet situation at the end of the road and above the stream. Many tui around. A typical family bach, obviously loved and looked after but showing its age (especially the mattresses). The wood burner worked really well. Comfortable.
The beds were comfy and the bach was well equipped. We were a little uneasy with the CCTV cameras pointing in through the windows though? You have obviously had issues in the past that required you to install them but it was just a bit weird! St.Arnaud doesn't appear to be a high crime area. Anyway, a nice Bach just unlucky that we have experienced way better ones for the same price on the rest of our 55 day tour across New Zealand's North & South Islands.
Thank you for your feedback. In regard to your concern about the cameras, these were strategiclly placed to view key entrance points to the property, and are not aimed "through the windows". (We will be checking they have not been moved by anyone). These were installed as a result of less favourable individuals of society travelling through the district, who think contents of baches should be theirs. The cameras were never intended as an intrusion of privacy.
