Generously proportioned architectural spaces with striking design, layout and modern furnishings create a strong holiday “feel” encouraging both relaxation and activity. Accommodation flexibility together with the open plan living/dining/kitchen ensure a highly integrated approach to holidaying. Large living spaces, with log-burning fires in each, cater for different family groups and activities.

The spacious 15-year old house offers a wonderful elevated view of the lake and Mt Tarawera from two large decks, with lake access for swimming and lakeside tracks via a nearby short walkway. The sunny property, with surrounding native birds and bush, offers great off-street car/boat parking and good turning space. Situated on Spencer Road, there is handy access to boat launching at Stoney Point.

The natural beauty at Lake Tarawera offers a great backdrop for multiple water activities – water skiing, wake and paddle boarding, yachting, trout fishing, kayaking and good old-fashioned swimming; also a visit downstream to the falls on the Tarawera River. Tramping, mountain-biking, jogging, horse-riding and climbing opportunities abound among other world famous lakes - the Blue and Green, Okataina, Okareka, Rotomahana, Rotoiti and Rotorua.

Holidays in Rotorua have long been the source of lasting memories for both experienced international travellers and the impressionable young, who have treasured childhood experiences.

For the creatively inclined Lake Tarawera’s natural settings offer opportunities aplenty for painters and photographers. Visit The Landing café or dine in style at Solitaire Lodge; call up the water taxis to reach Hot Water Beach or the outlet walk/falls; climb Mt Tarawera; experience the Redwood Forest and the Buried Village with its excavated ruins of Te Wairoa, buried in the 1886 eruption.

Of all the holiday houses we have stayed in, none could beat just how well equipped and clean this house is. Not only was there everything we could possibly need, but everything was in good working condition too. The view was lovely and it was an easy walk down to the water. It's a great place for a large group with kids. We had a great stay with our overseas guests. Thanks. :)

A great property which was perfect for our large family, everything you could want from a holiday home situated in a beautiful location within easy reach of the many things Rotorua has to offer. Thank you, we would love to return to this house again.

  • This house has such a lovely, warm feel

This house has such a lovely, warm feel. It is a real family home as opposed to a soulless rental and it just makes you feel so welcome and relaxed! We had nine people staying very comfortably (all on real beds with no more than two to a room - there is one extra trundle if needed). The two separate living areas are great - you can have a rousing game of table tennis in one and a quiet glass of wine in the other. Love this house!
