  • This unique location so close to the crashing surf will have you captivated!
  • Beautiful on a warm summer day - Even better during a wild winter storm.
  • Soak in a hot bath and watch the waves come rolling in and dolphins swim by.

It doesn't get any better than this, built on solid rock just out of reach of the breaking surf and just a one minute walk to a white sandy beach... this iconic kiwi bach has braved the elements since the 1940s. Little has changed, the view is still breath-taking, the interior is still very 'bachy' - albeit with a few more modern conveniences. A trip to the loo is still a dash down the garden path although this is now a flush toilet. This is the great kiwi bach experience from yesteryear. With no neighbours looking in, you have total privacy... though you may have to share the rocky shoreline with the occasional seal or penguin.

Free WIFI broadband. Bach telephone for local and incoming calls (no mobile coverage)

Located just 15 mins north of Punakaiki... or 30 mins south of Westport.

Westport is your nearest place to buy groceries and petrol - stock up before you arrive.
