This is a beautiful little Kiwi bach. Not fancy - but clean, comfortable and character-filled. It is accurately described. A short walk down to Little Bay, or a few minutes drive to access the surf of Waikawau Bay. Highly recommended - we would go again any day. Thank you to the owners of Whare Nikau for making this special place available.
We were disappointed. Dark and no views except from top bedroom. Had to haul heavy furniture and dirty bbq in and out of the house. We paid extra for linen but the beds were not made, the linen when we found it was unironed. Little Bay is a fantastic location and there are much nicer places to rent than this one.
This place has a very sweet, cosy vibe! It is nestled in amongst beautiful NZ bush (Nikau palms, Tea tree etc) and being on poles, almost feels like a tree house when you look out the window. The master bedroom even has sea views which was a treat. A little gem of a place! My one suggestion would be to replace the single mattresses at some stage as they are uncomfortable, the springs can be felt. Though most likely be no problem for children :-) All in all its pretty idyllic - thank you!
Fabulous kiwi bach in a stunning location. A great place to 'get away' and relax. Comfy with everything you need & easy care. Surrounded by stunning native bush and bird life. We really enjoyed our time here. Many thanks to the owners for sharing this place.
