Number 84, just minutes walk from Nelson city centre, is located in a quiet residential street in the neighbourhood of The Wood. Hidden within courtyard walls is a 1930's art deco style house with bifold and French doors that open onto a deck and private north facing garden. Complete privacy...peace and quiet...yet all so close to the action!

Featuring 3 bedrooms (2 queen and one double), it has a huge living room with giant bifold doors across the northern wall which open up completely onto the deck and garden. The living area has a large sofa and 2 arm chairs, 32" LED TV with Freeview, DVD & CD player with a selection of discs and books plus FREE WiFi! The house is heated by a wood burner and oil column heaters in each room.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped to ensure that it feels like a home away from home. There is a gas hob and extractor fan, electric oven, large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, dishwasher and wahsing machine. Pantry basics such as tea, coffee, herbs, spices and olive oil are provided, in additon to cleaning materials, washing powder and dishwasher powder. However if you've forgotten anything the nearest supermarket is only a 5 minute walk away...or there's the Organic Greengrocer, the Milton St Dairy, Milton St fish and chip shop or the Sprig and Fern pub within 5 mins walk.

The bedrooms have comfortable beds and feature quality cotton linen. Each bedroom has bedside tables, bedside lights, electric blankets and storage drawers/and or wardrobe.

The bathroom features a shower over the bath, vanity, heated towel rail, wall heater, mirror and toilet.

The peaceful private garden at the front of the property gets all day sun, has a dining table and chairs and BBQ. To the west is a clothes line for drying washing.

There is a single garage and off street parking for 2 cars and/or boat.

Number 84 is perfect for families, couples or friends travelling together, and well behaved outside dogs are welcome.

Special conditions: Smoking is permitted outside, and well behaved outside dogs are welcome with prior approval. Guests are expected to leave the house clean and tidy on departure. An optional cleaning service is available for a charge of $60 for 2 people plus $10 per extra guest. No additional guests beyond those booked and paid for. Parties are not allowed, and guests are asked to respect that they are in a residential neighbourhood so to keep noise (particularly outside) to a minimum after nightfall.

  • A great central location for exploring the area

    A great central location for exploring the area. We stayed eight nights without a car, but this was not a problem as the supermarket, bike hire and transport to Abel Tasman Park were just a few minutes walk away. The property was warm, comfortable, cosy, sunny, and well equipped with all essentials and more in the house and pantry.

    Very clean and tidy with neutral and nice furniture and supplies. Comfortable beds, clean linen supplied. Good area to be based in very Nelson, with good walks close by. The batch is comfortable and private. There is almost everything you could need and want supplied at the batch. We had our young 3 year old son with us and were slightly disappointed there were no toys available for him (limited dvds and books were) which there have been in other child friendly batches we've stayed in.
