The surfing spots along the coast line are famous , one right out in front of the Cottage . Fishing , mussell gatheriing and grayfishing all happens in Oruawhao Bay,Fishing charters can be arranged for either half or full day charters.
On Great Barrier Island there are many great walking tracks to such places as the top of Mount Hobson, and to hot mineral water pools There is also a Wharf to Wharf Marathon held each year in October.Ordinary and mountain bikes can also be hired.

We had an enjoyable time there at what's probably the very best accommodation available on the Barrier. The view is incredible and the position is unbeatable. The property has everything you need and the beds are seriously cozy. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thanks Peter and Jan.
